The connection came about after an EU proposal to ban candy that resembles tobacco products which got the Danes cooking. In response, Skipper's Pipes and LAKOR created a T shirt with the text No argument beats a pointing pipe and right the people WERE. That's why (in part) the pipe, which oozes danish childhood nostalgia, still exists today, as does the friendship
