I found that dropping the coolant out of the radiator and removing the complete front panel was far easier as you have to slightly grind some plastic off the front panel to get the small clamps to fit (these clamp the radiator to the intercooler) I had previously replaced the radiator and found this a very straight forward process for an experienced mechanic
