Awards of the gallantry emblem to the Order of the British Empire were ceased at this time with the intention that such acts would be rewarded with the QGM

India General Service Medal Miniature 1908-1935 CHRISTMAS2024 From December 1957Instituted 1st January 1909 and awarded for service in minor campaigns in India before and after WWI. The North West Frontier 1908 clasp was the first issued and the only one initially with the Edward VII bust. 9 Distinguished Conduct Medals (DCM) were awarded bravery during the expeditions covered by this clasp. This medal is supplied without clasp which can be purchased separately.
